Lovely ideas, but impractical for those of us who live in temperate zones. We have half a metre of snow on the ground, and the temperature is minus ten at night. Waterparks would be fairly uncomfortable in those conditions.
How do you define affordable? Many of the gifts you chose require two or more days’ wages where I live.
I applaud your goal of affordable ways to celebrate, but feel you are catering to the upper middle class with your suggestions. I buy her potted roses, and then plant them in our yard in the spring. We have a beautiful rose garden now, which started with a single plant 20 yeas ago, and reminds her all summer of my dedication. A man should never buy a woman clothes, his taste will never match hers. She may appreciate the thought, but if you want her to like what you purchase take her shopping with you, and buy what she chooses.

Foodtv has really good recipes on chocolates – truffles are easy to make. Be frugal and romantic at the same time – MAKE her/him chocolates! My husband loves chocolate as much as I do, it’s a win/win.

It’s really cold out here, I guess the bonfire will be a perfect way to spend this valentine’s day roasting marshmallows.

I think that the best Valentine Day’s gift for her is a set of a luxury lingerie! And a watch for him.

It’s an really affordable valentine gifts and ideas. You specify each and every part of valentine very clearly like “Valentine’s Day”, “Valentine’s Gifts for Him” and “Valentine’s Gifts for Her”. If i will have a chance to choose then i will select “Go for a long drive”.

What a lovely post. I do agree with idea that celebrating Valentine does not mean to spend a lot of money. By the way, I love the idea of long drive and bonfire. Nature will provide most romantic atmosphere that you need. Keep posting1
